Ogni cosa rappresa #1 e #2 mostrano due paesaggi di cristalli. Come in tutta la mostra Ogni cosa rappresa ciascun pezzo si genera o deriva da un altro, in questo caso si tratta della ripresa della stessa metodologia usata da Friedrich nel dipingere Das Eismeer.

Il pittore tedesco, non avendo visto direttamente gli Iceberg, aveva idealmente campionato dei pezzi di ghiaccio, che vengono ripetuti con movimenti simmetrici all’interno del suo quadro. Secondo lo stesso principio ho visivamente campionato la texture della selenite (da cui si avviava tutto il progetto di mostra) estendendola per tutti e due i lavori.

In questo lavoro ho lavorato con la punta d’argento, un materiale legato alla storia dell’arte, su di una tela preparata con bianco d’ossa e gesso. L’argento, per reazione chimica, diventa visibile solo dove incontra il bianco d’ossa, di contro non appare sul gesso.

Ogni cosa rappresa # 1 and Ogni cosa rappresa # 2 depicts two crystal landscapes.

As in the whole exhibition Ogni cosa rappresa each piece is generated or derived from another, in this case it is the resumption of the same methodology used by Friedrich in his painting Das Eismeer.

The German painter, having not directly seen the Icebergs, had ideally sampled pieces of ice, which are repeated with symmetrical movements within his painting. According to the same principle I visually sampled the texture of selenite (starting point of the entire exhibition project) extending it for both works.

In these canvas I worked with the silver point, a material linked to the history of art, on aan imprimitura with bone and chalk white. The silver, by chemical reaction, becomes visible only where it meets the white bone on the surface of the canvas, in contrast it does not appear on the chalk, and, because of the oxidation process, over time, it will turn black.
