All this will be recollected in sixteen days depicts a glitch image recorded by Google Earth. The image has been recorded with two different sensors, both with the natural colors and the false colors. Sixteen days is the necessary time for a satellite to cover yet the entire surface of the world. I was intersted in using the painting in this gap between the error and its solution.

All this will be recollected in sixteen days, ripropone una veduta satellitare di una porzione di terreno registrata con sensori (o con situazioni atmosferiche) differenti. Le immagini della visione satellitare, cui tutti abbiamo facile accesso tramite sistemi come Google Earth, sono di fatto una ricostruzione del mondo basata sul montaggio di fotografie digitali raccolte continuamente, piuttosto che una restituzione di una visione dall’alto in tempo reale di cui simulano la percezione. Le due tele che costituiscono il dittico rappresentano ognuna la registrazione con due sensori differenti e traducono in pittura un’immagine destinata ad essere rimossa e sostiuita dal satellite stesso.
